ABC cuts Angels

ABC network has recently cut the remake of Charlies Angels.

"Charlies Angels" was cut by ABC due to low ratings after only four airings. "Angels" is ABC's first cancellation of the new fall season. Only four more episodes are left to be aired, and then the world will see no more of this attempted remake. ABC was probably hoping for the same kind of success that other remakes such as "Hawaii 5-0", but no such luck.

The original "Charlie's Angels" from the 1970's ran for six seasons and introduced Farrah Fawcet to the spotlight. "Angels" also had two feature films. This new remake acquired nowhere near the same kind of success the original had, maybe because of plot, casting, or just because it was a remake. "Angels" had high expectations in the beginning, but they all came crashing down within four episodes.

  1. Honestly, I really didn't care for the original Charlie's Angels or either of the movies. I should've put money on the fact that the show'd be cancelled, but anyways...In my opinion, sometimes tv shows are best to be only made once and not remaked. I like the original Terminator movies from the 80's but the new ones just aren't the same. Oh, and the Muppets remake of The Wizzard of Oz was flatout ...not good at all. However, the newer Batman movies are much better than the old Batman & Robin movies.
